The last blog I wrote was dated 2023. It's now January 2026. I wonder what would have happened if I continuously blogged. Would I have more viewers? Will more people know about my artworks?
At the end of the day, I regret not having to have written more. I wishI was more vocal. But the beginning of my career as an artist was a struggle, as it is true to other artists too. There was the deliberate decision of avoiding to say so much about me, my artworks and my plans. I read somewhere that an artist shall always keep a part of himself secret or hidden from everyone. In certain degrees, I agree, however it did nothing but kept me from showing my arts and thoughts more honestly. However, it's done.
This 2026, I will be more vocal.
Last October 2025, I began Obscyra, an artist-first contemporary art magazine meaning to bridge the gap between collectors and artists, and the latter's invitation to enter the honest echochamber of obscyra and be much more honest and bold than they are now.
I have founded and financed the magazine in hopes to create a more honest and nurturing avenue to my fellow artists, exhibit them where possible and expose their artworks whenever there is time.
With that, I launched our first ever magazine launch alongside my first curated art exhibit entitled CODEX OBSCURA at COIN COIN OFFSPACE in Stauffacher Quarter in Zürich. It was a fabulous exhibit, warm opening with familiar faces and genuine supporters. So far, we have sold hundreds of copies and I considered it very successful for a newbie zine. This concreted to me the principle that as long as you believe in something, you can make it happen.
Eventually I envision this zine to be more international. It's a long dream to make true but I have the drive for this passion to grow.
Codex Obscura mirrors myself being so obscured, open, familar and weird at the same time, and it's okay to be that!
